Our client, a manufacturer of turbojet engines, is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead their advanced manufacturing facility. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the production process, drive operational excellence, ensure product quality, and optimize efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Manage daily production operations, ensuring schedules are met while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements using best practices to boost productivity and minimize waste.
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of manufacturing professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Quality Management: Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards through effective quality control and ongoing monitoring.
Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the production budget, optimizing resource use and monitoring costs to achieve financial targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations and address production challenges.
Safety Commitment: Foster a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to our industry.
Performance Reporting: Prepare regular reports on operational performance and key indicators for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications and Job Information
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations management, with a successful track record in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance practices.
Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage diverse teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with government and DOD contracts is a plus.
Familiarity with aerospace materials and their manufacturing processes.
